Visit the Masai Mara National Reserve, Africa’s most popular game reserve, where you have a high chance of seeing the Big Five as well as many other animals and birds, all set against breathtaking scenery and enriched by the traditional Maasai culture. Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara National Reserve
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel or the airport and drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve, stopping along the way at the scenic Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Continue to the reserve, arriving in time for lunch at your camp, followed by an afternoon game drive to explore the park’s incredible wildlife. Masai Mara is one of Kenya’s premier wildlife sanctuaries, home to over 450 recorded animal species. Its plains are alive with migrating wildebeest and zebra, alongside year-round resident animals. The reserve, covering 1,672 sq. km and framed by the Rift Valley, offers an unmatched wildlife experience with elephants, lions, buffalo, gazelles, zebra, and topi, and occasional sightings of rhinos and leopards. In the Mara River, hippos wallow and crocodiles bask, while the annual wildebeest migration follows the rains north. After your game drive, return to the camp with the option to visit a Maasai village. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge or camp.
Day 2: Maasai Mara – Nairobi
After an early breakfast, you will begin the journey back to Nairobi, with lunch en route, arriving in the evening and being dropped off at your hotel, airport, or residence. There is also an option to visit a Maasai village in the morning before departure.
