4 Days Masai Mara & L. Naivasha Safari
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara
You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning and given a short safari briefing before departing for Masai Mara. The journey includes a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to take in the breathtaking scenery. Arrive at the reserve in time for lunch, then check in at your camp or lodge and relax. In the late afternoon, head out for a game drive—the best time to see predators emerging from the shadows. Masai Mara is one of Kenya’s top wildlife destinations, featuring acacia-dotted plains and an abundance of lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and more. Over 450 bird species can also be found, including the lilac-breasted roller, Kenya’s national bird. Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara
Spend the day exploring the Mara’s vast wildlife. The park is home to resident animals as well as seasonal migrants, including wildebeest and zebras. Herds of elephants, lions, buffalo, gazelles, and topi roam the plains, while hippos and crocodiles can be seen along the Mara River. Occasional sightings of rhinos and leopards add to the excitement. The Mara’s fertile climate and wide-open savannah make it one of the richest wildlife areas in Africa. You may also choose to visit a Maasai village to learn about local culture. Return to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha
After breakfast at your lodge, depart Masai Mara and head toward Lake Naivasha, stopping for lunch in Narok town. Continue to your lodge or camp on the shores of Lake Naivasha, arriving in the late afternoon. Enjoy the serene surroundings and relax before dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Nairobi
Start the day with breakfast, then take a boat ride on Lake Naivasha to Crescent Island. Here, enjoy a walking safari and observe the diverse wildlife, including hippos, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and buffalo. The lake is a haven for birds, with large numbers of pelicans, cormorants, and fish eagles. After exploring the island, depart for Nairobi, stopping for lunch along the way. Arrive in the late afternoon and be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your safari.
