8 Days Samburu, Ol Pejeta, Nakuru, Naivasha and Mara Safari

Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu Game Reserve

Morning pick up from the airport or your hotel in the city, then drive north past the central highlands toward Samburu. Arrival is around midday followed by check in and lunch. Later in the afternoon head out across the reserve to look for wildlife before returning in the evening for dinner and the night.

Day 2: Full Day in Samburu

The day is spent moving around the reserve with your guide searching for animals that live in this part of the country. You may go out in the morning and again later in the afternoon, or remain out longer with a packed lunch. Meals and overnight stay at the same lodge or camp.

Day 3: Samburu – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast leave the northern reserve and drive toward the conservancy area near Nanyuki. Arrival is around lunchtime. Later head out to see wildlife and also visit the sanctuary area known for rhinos and chimpanzees before returning for dinner.

Day 4: Ol Pejeta – Nakuru National Park

Breakfast at the lodge then depart heading toward the Rift Valley. The journey continues through changing scenery until reaching the Nakuru area later in the day. After settling in, there may be time to go out within the park before evening.

Day 5: Nakuru – Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara National Reserve

Morning time around the park followed by departure toward Lake Naivasha. Here you get onto the lake by boat where hippos and birds are often seen, then continue to Crescent Island for a walk among animals. After this, drive onward toward the Mara with a stop for lunch along the way. Arrival later in the day and short wildlife viewing before dinner.

Day 6: Mara Wildlife Viewing Full Day

The day is spent moving across the plains searching for animals across different parts of the reserve. Packed lunch is usually taken during the outing. Return to the lodge or camp later for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Full Day in the Mara

More time in the reserve with your guide looking for wildlife in different sections of the park. You may also choose optional activities depending on the plan. Evening return to the accommodation for the night.

Day 8: Return to Nairobi

After breakfast check out and begin the drive back toward the city with a stop for lunch on the way. Arrival later in the afternoon with drop off at the airport or your hotel.
