8 Days Samburu, L. Nakuru., L. Bogoria / Baringo, L. Naivasha & Masai Mara

Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

You’ll be picked up in the morning and begin a long but scenic drive north toward Samburu. After arriving and settling into your lodge or camp, head out in the late afternoon to look for wildlife that lives in this semi-arid area. Animals here include species not commonly found elsewhere in Kenya. Dinner and an overnight stay are at your accommodation.

Day 2: Samburu National Reserve

Today is dedicated to exploring more of this northern park. Vehicles will go out early and again later in the day to search for wildlife that thrives in the dry river valleys, rocky outcrops, and bushlands. Return to camp for meals and sleep after your drives.

Day 3: Samburu – Nakuru National Park

After breakfast you’ll leave Samburu with a game drive as you exit the reserve, then travel toward Lake Nakuru. Arrival is later in the day in time to check in and relax. The landscape changes from dry plains to the lush Rift Valley as you descend toward Nakuru. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Lake Baringo

Spend the morning within the Lake Nakuru area, where you can see flamingos and other birds and look for rhinos, giraffes and other wildlife. Later depart for Lake Baringo, where you will settle in for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Lake Baringo – Lake Bogoria – Naivasha

After breakfast, you will spend time around Lake Baringo where hippos, crocodiles and many bird species are often seen. Depending on the schedule, there may be a boat ride on the lake and a visit to nearby caves. Later you continue to Lake Naivasha, arriving by evening for dinner and rest.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara Reserve

Begin the day with a boat ride on Lake Naivasha where hippos and water birds are frequently spotted, then head to Crescent Island for a gentle walk among animals like zebras and giraffes. After this, continue your journey toward the Maasai Mara with lunch en route. Arrive later and take a short drive inside the reserve before dinner at your lodge.

Day 7: Maasai Mara National Reserve

This day is set aside for full wildlife drives across the wide plains. You can go out early and return later in the afternoon with picnic lunch, exploring deeper into the reserve with your guide and searching for animals across the grasslands. Dinner and overnight are at your camp or lodge.

Day 8: Maasai Mara – Nairobi

After breakfast and checking out of your lodge, begin the drive back to Nairobi. You’ll stop for lunch on the way and continue until you reach the city, where the safari ends with drop-off at your hotel or airport.
