Overview
This safari moves across several well known wildlife areas in Kenya including Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli and the Tsavo parks. Along the route you spend time in open savannah, lake regions full of birds, and the dry landscapes of Tsavo where wildlife is often seen near water sources. Amboseli also offers clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro on good days and large groups of elephants. The trip is done privately in a 4×4 Land Cruiser, and accommodation can be arranged in different standards depending on preference and travel season.

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve
You will be picked up from the airport or your hotel in the morning and drive toward the Mara with a stop along the Rift Valley viewpoint. After reaching the reserve and settling in at the lodge or camp, head out later in the afternoon to look around the plains for wildlife before returning for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Masai Mara Reserve
Spend the day out in the reserve moving through different areas where animals are commonly found. You can go out with packed lunch or split the day into morning and later drives. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner.
Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast leave the Mara and drive toward Lake Nakuru with a break for lunch on the way. Arrive later in the day, check in, relax and spend the evening at the lodge.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli National Park
Start the morning inside the park around Nakuru where birds and rhinos are often seen. Later continue the journey toward Amboseli passing through Nairobi before arriving in the evening and checking in.
Day 5: Amboseli Full Day
This day is spent inside the park with time out looking for wildlife and enjoying the scenery. Lunch can be taken in the park and later you return to the lodge for the night. There is also an option to visit a local Maasai village if interested.
Day 6: Amboseli – Tsavo West National Park
Leave Amboseli and drive toward Tsavo West. After arriving and settling in, go out in the afternoon around areas known for wildlife and water sources before heading back to camp for the evening.
Day 7: Tsavo West – Tsavo East National Park
After breakfast continue across to Tsavo East. Arrive and check in, then head out later to see wildlife in this wide open park that is known for its elephants and large landscapes. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp.
Day 8: Tsavo East – Nairobi
After breakfast begin the drive back to Nairobi with a stop for lunch on the way. Arrival is later in the day where you will be dropped off at the airport or your hotel.
