Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel or the airport and drive south to Amboseli National Park, passing through the Maasai countryside along the Nairobi–Mombasa highway. Arrive at the park in time for lunch before heading out on your first afternoon game drive. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds, lions, cheetahs, and other wildlife, all set against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. The park features a mix of landscapes including open plains, acacia woodlands, marshes, lava-strewn areas, and the impressive Ol Doinyo Orok massif. Return to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli National Park
Start the day with breakfast at the lodge, then spend the day exploring the park. Picnic lunch can be enjoyed within the park while watching wildlife. Optionally, visit a local Maasai village where you can meet the Maasai people, learn about their customs, and take photographs of their traditional homesteads. Return to the lodge for dinner and a night under the African sky.
Day 3: Amboseli – Lake Bogoria
After breakfast, leave Amboseli and drive north to Lake Bogoria, arriving in the afternoon. Check in at your lodge before setting out on a game and bird-watching excursion. Lake Bogoria is famous for its hot springs, geysers, and diverse wildlife including antelope, kudu, cheetah, impala, gazelle, and waterbuck. Birdwatchers will enjoy the flamingos and a variety of other species that flock to the lake. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 4: Bogoria – Baringo – Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, drive to Lake Baringo and take a boat ride on the lake to see hippos, crocodiles, and the rich birdlife along the shores. Continue to Lake Nakuru, arriving in time for lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing before going out on an evening drive. Lake Nakuru is home to flamingos, white rhinos, giraffes, lions, and numerous bird species. Enjoy the striking views of the soda lake surrounded by rolling hills and lush vegetation. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, depart for the Masai Mara, stopping for lunch in Narok town. Arrive at the Mara in the afternoon and check in at your lodge before setting out on a late afternoon drive. Enjoy spotting elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, zebras, gazelles, and a wide variety of birds across the vast savannah. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Full Day in Masai Mara
After breakfast, spend the day on game drives across the Mara. The reserve is home to abundant wildlife, including the Big Five, and offers the chance to see wildebeest and zebra herds, hippos in the rivers, and crocodiles along the banks. Picnic lunch can be arranged in the park. You may also choose to visit a Maasai village in the afternoon. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Masai Mara – Nairobi
After breakfast, depart the Mara and drive back to Nairobi. Stop for lunch along the way and arrive in the late afternoon. Guests will be dropped off at their hotel or the airport, marking the end of the safari.
