Pick up from your hotel or the airport in the morning and drive down the Great Rift Valley with a brief stop at a viewpoint. Continue to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving before midday. Enter the park with picnic lunch and spend the afternoon on a game drive. The park is known for its large numbers of flamingos and other water birds, as well as white and black rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, lions, buffaloes, zebras, and antelopes. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or camp.
Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Lake Bogoria and Lake Baringo
After breakfast, depart for Lake Bogoria. On arrival, drive along the lake to see flamingos, other bird species, and wildlife that roam the area. Visit the hot springs and geysers, where boiling water shoots from the ground. After lunch, continue to nearby Lake Baringo. In the afternoon, take a boat ride to view hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birds. You will also visit the ancient caves found around the lake. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or camp near Baringo.
Day 3: Lake Baringo – Lake Naivasha
Have breakfast at the lodge before leaving for Lake Naivasha. Arrive in time for lunch and check in at your camp or lodge. Later, take a boat ride on the lake where you may see hippos resting in the water and fish eagles swooping down for food. Continue by boat to Crescent Island for a guided walk among zebras, gazelles, wildebeest, and giraffes. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, depart for Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch at your camp or lodge. In the late afternoon, head out for your first game drive on the open plains. The reserve is home to elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, rhinos, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, and many antelope species. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp.
Day 5: Full Day in Masai Mara
Spend the entire day in the reserve with picnic lunch. Drive across different parts of the park in search of wildlife. The Mara River is a good place to see hippos and crocodiles, and during the migration season large herds of wildebeest and zebras cross the river. An optional visit to a local Masai village can be arranged in the afternoon. Return to the lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Masai Mara – Nairobi
