Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve
Your safari begins with a hotel pickup in Nairobi in the morning. After a brief safari orientation, set off toward the legendary Masai Mara Game Reserve. Along the way, pause at the stunning Great Rift Valley viewpoint to take in the sweeping landscapes. Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch. After a little rest, head out for your late afternoon game drive the perfect time to spot predators as they emerge from the shadows. Masai Mara is Kenya’s most famous wildlife destination, known for its breathtaking acacia-dotted plains and incredible diversity of animals including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and more. Bird enthusiasts will be delighted by over 450 species, including Kenya’s national bird, the lilac-breasted roller. Return to your camp or lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara
Spend the entire day exploring the park, which is home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Kenya. Witness herds of elephants, lions, buffalo, zebras, topi, and gazelles roaming the vast plains. Keep an eye out for rhinos or leopards, and along the Mara River you may spot hippos and crocodiles. Depending on the season, you might also catch the great migration of wildebeest and zebras as they move in search of fresh grazing. After a full day of wildlife adventure, return to your lodge or camp. There’s also an option to visit a local Maasai village and experience traditional culture. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp/lodge.
