Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara Reserve

After being picked up from your hotel in the morning and a short briefing on the safari, depart Nairobi and head toward Masai Mara, with a scenic stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Continue through Narok town, home of the Maasai community, before arriving at the Mara. Check into your lodge or camp for lunch, unwind, and prepare for an afternoon game drive. The late afternoon is perfect for spotting predators as they emerge from the heat, and you may encounter lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and other wildlife roaming the plains. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara

Spend the entire day exploring the reserve, which hosts one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. Witness the wide-open savannahs filled with elephants, zebras, topis, buffalo, gazelles, and occasionally rhinos and leopards. The Mara River is home to hippos and crocodiles, and migratory wildebeest and zebra move across the plains depending on the season. Between game drives, relax at the lodge, and you may also choose to visit a Maasai village to learn about local traditions. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Masai Mara Exploration

Today is fully dedicated to discovering more of the Mara at your own pace. You can take morning and evening drives or spend the day on a single extended game drive, following the paths of wildlife across the savannah. Expect to see large herds of elephants, prides of lions, and graceful giraffes alongside zebras and gazelles. The richness of the park’s ecosystem, with its hundreds of bird species, makes every drive a unique experience. End the day back at your camp or lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 4: Masai Mara – Nairobi

After breakfast, check out of your lodge and begin the journey back to Nairobi. Stop for lunch along the way, enjoying the scenery of the Kenyan countryside. Arrive in Nairobi in the evening for drop-off at your hotel or the airport, bringing your unforgettable Mara safari to a close.
