Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park
You will be picked up in the morning from the airport or from your hotel in Nairobi and depart by road with a picnic lunch. Drive towards the Great Rift Valley with a stop at the escarpment viewpoint for spectacular views and photo opportunities, then continue to Lake Nakuru, arriving in mid-morning.
Enjoy a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, which is home to over 350 bird species including greater and lesser flamingos, plovers, marabou storks, white pelicans, and egrets. The park is also known for both white and black rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, lions, zebras, antelopes, buffaloes, and other wildlife.
Dinner and overnight stay at your selected hotel or lodge.
Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park – Lake Naivasha – Nairobi
After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha and enjoy a scenic boat ride across the lake to Crescent Island for a guided walking safari.
Crescent Island is known for its rich birdlife, including pelicans, cormorants, and fish eagles. During the walk, you may see giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, waterbucks, and gazelles roaming freely. Hippos are commonly spotted resting in the water during the day and grazing along the shores at night. Buffalo herds also move in and out of the area.
After the walk, return by boat to the mainland and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the evening. You will be dropped off at your hotel, residence, or the airport, marking the end of your safari.
